In response to our advertisements published in the daily news papers on 25.07.2007 and subsequent dates and also in Calcutta Telephones Website, the applicants sent a demand draft of Rs. 100 ( Rupees One Hundred only ) towards the examination fee. Subsequently , BSNL Corporate Office has fixed the examination fee as Rs. 500 ( Rupees Five Hundred only ).

We had published a corrigendum in the newspapers on 24.08.2007 asking an additional deposit of Rs. 400 ( Rupees Four Hundred only ) within 10.09.2007 and also corrected the relevant content in our Website. Perhaps the applicants have overlooked the corrigendum so published and corrections in the Website.

The competent authority of Calcutta Telephones has been pleased to extended the date upto 27.10.2007 for depositing additional amount of Rs. 400 in respect of the applicants who had deposited Rs. 100 only as examination fee.

The applicants are, therefore , requested to deposit the additional amount of Rs. 400 by Demand Draft drawn in favour of AO BSNL Calcutta so as to reach it to the O/o Assistant General Manager (R & E), BSNL , Calcutta Telephones , Taher Mansion ( 3 rd Floor ) , 8 Bentinck Street , Kolkata 700 001 within 27.10.2007 failing which candidature of the applicants for the said post will be cancel without any further communication.  The applicant must write his name and date of birth on the reverse of Demand Draft.
